Students and teachers from the Educative Institution Gabriel García Márquez designed the project “Give a Hand to our Planet”, so as to participate in the project Fire & Ice.
Presenters:
Catherine Mosquera MENA and Victor Hugo Ibargüen Urrutia, from 8º 1.
Our environment: we are not careful with garbage and throw it on the floor, we don’t separate it to recycle; we waste energy and water and also extinguish green areas.
Objectives:
To promote practical strategies to generate a positive impact in the institution context so as to produce a change in the community.
These are the strategies we are going to apply in the next four weeks:
Week 1: Place the garbage in its place
Week 2: Don’t waste energy
Week 3: Recycle and win
Week 4: Sow trees
Cada una de estas estrategias mostrarán semana a semana, como nuestro planeta se va aliviando.

8º 1 grade
Information Tecnology and Social Sciences teachers
Environmental project students and their coordinator
Headmistress
Besides the school activity, every week we take the project to the community. We will visit our neighbourhood and San Vicente de Paul section.

Hello, I think that the ideas you guys have are great. It is very nice of your class that you guys take your time to do that for your community.I think that it is a great way to help the people in your community.
I think it is good that you want to encourage people to use the trash cans, but how are you going to pick up the trash that is already there?
